Yes. Every instruction on a child screen for ages 3-6 is read aloud by Rio, the lion cub, using the browser’s own voices, so those lessons can be completed without reading a word. Buttons are large, the pace is gentle, and no game has a failure state.

Maths and computing lessons are tagged to real standards - US Common Core, the UK National Curriculum, CSTA for computing and AI4K12 for the AI strand - and a child’s record shows exactly which unit answered to which code. The other subjects are organised by topic while that tagging is finished. A family also picks the curriculum their household follows at sign-up: US, UK, UK Grammar School (11-plus), IB, India (CBSE/NCERT), Finland-Nordic or a Japan-China blend.

Yes, and per subject rather than for the whole child. Each land can be set to Gentle, Standard or Challenge. That does two real things: it changes which of three written tiers of questions your child is asked, and it scales how quickly that subject’s review cards come back. The UK Grammar sub-track asks the Challenge tier everywhere, for a family preparing for the eleven-plus.

Every family starts with three months of the top plan, Royal Family, free from the day they sign up - no card, and no button to find. After that you pick a plan or stay on Explorer, which is free and keeps one child, three lands, daily missions and the parent dashboard.

No. There is no open chat anywhere in StudiumYou and no free-text box a child can reach - the live classroom offers preset reactions only. That is a structural rule in the code, not a setting that can be switched on.

No ads, ever, on any plan. There is no advertising network in the product and nothing in it is sold to anybody.

You set the daily limit and the length of a single sitting. When the limit is reached the kingdom winds down and sends your child outside rather than nagging them to come back. Hands-on cards and outdoor missions cost no screen minutes at all, so a day can carry on away from the tablet.

The app shell is served by a service worker, so StudiumYou opens when the network is gone. On the Kingdom plan you can also download an explicit offline pack, whose real measured size is shown before you take it. StudiumYou installs to a home screen like an app.

Royal Family covers up to four children and adds sibling quests, where two children work towards the same goal. Explorer and Kingdom each cover one child. You add, edit and remove children from the parent settings screen.

Both, as real subjects rather than a badge. Code Cove opens at five and runs sequence, repeat, loop, condition and debugging, with its first two units entirely unplugged - a jam sandwich and a string of beads. AI Academy opens at seven and covers what a machine actually does, teaching one by example, when it gets things wrong, and how to ask it well. The standards behind them are CSTA, the UK computing programme of study and AI4K12.

Yes. The parent dashboard keeps a printable learning record with attendance, screen minutes and coverage by standard, taken from what your child actually did rather than from a plan. It is the document to hand to a district reviewer or a local authority.

StudiumYou is a web app that installs. Open studiumyou.com on a tablet or phone and add it to the home screen - it then opens full screen, with no browser bar for a child to wander out of. There is nothing to buy from an app store.
